Shrout's first opened its doors in 1978 and has always been a family owned business. When we first opened we were located on 7 Highway in Blue Springs and carried only Suzuki motorcycles. In 1983 we moved to our current location on the South Outer Road along I-70. Soon after our move we purchased the Yamaha and Kawasaki dealership up the road and began expanding our product line. Our inventory now consists of motorcycles, minicycles, ATVs and watercraft from Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Xtreme, United Motors, Bombardier, and Sea-Doo. For those of you in the Topeka area, we have two other locations, Topeka Powersports and Shrout's Powersports of Osage City.
Shrout's has a long standing commitment to supporting many of the local racers in various ways such as parts/accessory discounts & assistance in signing up for manufacturer contingency programs.
As we continue to grow, we are constantly adding knowledgeable people to our sales department. Currently we have five salespeople to meet all of your sales needs. Brian Shrout, our sales manager, Shawn Lancaster, our assistant sales manager, Paul Hoard, Jim Stafford and Dennis are our sales personnel. Dawn, our finance manager is available to help you with your financing and making sure you have all the right paperwork to title you new vehicle.
Shrout's parts department is one of the most extensive in the area and has grown to support your need for timely and up-to-date information on parts and accessories. We have Brett and Brandon Shrout, Jonathan Chuning (we've tried, but he won't change his last name) and Ryan Rohleder. They all race motocross and ride street bikes. They can usually tell you where to ride and who's racing on any giving weekend.
Shrout's service team is a leader in motorcycle, watercraft, and ATV maintenance and repair. Our service team has over 35 years of combined experience just here at Shrout's. If you come and visit our service department you will without a doubt meet Dave Jackson, our service manager. Dave has been with Shrout's since 1996 and has won many awards for his service commitment. Your unit could be worked on by any one of our full time service employees, like Carter, Paul or Dan, who have been in the business for many years.
